Our Story

Coffee Tree offers USDA approved organic coffee with a relaxed, comfortable environment right in the heart of Edmond. Within walking distance of UCO, customers can find an assortment of coffees, teas, and smoothies as well as locally baked pastries and other goodies.

Organic productions are produced by organic farming, there are no pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, sewage sludge, genetically modified organisms, chemicals, or ionizing radiation.Due to the certification process and requirement, organic foods, may cost slightly more, but a little extra in cost may bring huge health care and well-being. They have higher nutritional benefits than conventional foods.

Another goal or organically grown and produced foods are are to encourage environmentally friendly farming, cycling of natural resources, and growing food without the need for harsh pesticides or chemical fertilizers.

In the case of organic coffee, there are no synthetic fertilizers or chemicals allowed. Most organic coffee is grown the natural way – under shade of lush trees, providing a home for wild plants and animals, sustaining soil fertility, and keeping unique regional ecosystems alive.

Different than conventional coffee beans, without heavy chemical treatment and in a natural environment, coffee beans grow slower and finer. For these reasons, organic coffee beans exuded richer aroma, tastes much better than conventional coffee, the taste is purer, and there is more depth and less acidity.
